Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, document, and translate client requirements into technical specifications and product or sprint backlog items.
- Design, write, debug, deliver, maintain, and support software applications, web-based features, and infrastructure.
- Develop and integrate third-party services, applications, and mobile functionality across systems and platforms.
- Participate in coding, testing, validation, debugging, and implementation of new and enhanced applications.
- Document unit and system testing results and automate testing processes where possible.
- Work with users, visual designers, and product managers to create visually appealing dashboards for online data analytics products.
- Ensure solution performance, availability, stability, on-time feature delivery, and production support.
- Prepare technical and procedural documentation and contribute to web security standards and protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Software development experience using one or more modern languages such as Java, Python, C++, or C# with object-oriented design experience.
- Experience with web technologies, server-side programming, open-source frameworks, databases, SQL, and relational database systems.
- Experience with Core Java and frameworks such as Spring and JPA.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems, shell programming, data structures, software design patterns, distributed systems, algorithms, and multi-tiered systems.
- Experience with Python, Kubernetes, and at least one cloud provider such as AWS or Azure.
- Ability to perform data benchmarking, performance analysis, and tuning.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Nexus is preferred.
- Financial services experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication, collaboration, ownership, decision-making, problem-solving, and judgment skills are expected.
