Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java backend services and RESTful APIs for Secure Release’s scanning and monitoring engine.
- Build full-stack features from requirements through production, including React dashboards for vulnerability findings.
- Use AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code with appropriate human review.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including container image scanning, signing, and customer deployment integrations.
- Operate scanning infrastructure with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
- Monitor production systems with New Relic, Splunk, and Datadog and participate in incident response.
- Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and improve code quality and test coverage.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to implement security requirements and threat intelligence feeds.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Java development experience.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot, RESTful API design, and basic microservices concepts.
- Working knowledge of React, including hooks, component design, state management, and frontend testing tools such as Jest.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes operations.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, including writing and debugging SQL queries and understanding basic schema design.
- Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure and interest in developing cloud-native skills.
- Curiosity, a growth mindset, and willingness to learn security concepts and take on increasing ownership.
- Academic or project-level exposure to identity and access management, digital certificates, or PKI is nice to have.
- Personal projects, open-source contributions, coursework, or hands-on experience demonstrating full-stack development, security interest, or AI/LLM integration are nice to have.
