Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture, low-level design, technical roadmap, and full-lifecycle development of C++ solutions.
- Establish coding standards, conduct rigorous code reviews, and promote engineering best practices, testing, continuous integration, and automation.
- Diagnose low-level threading issues and optimize application memory usage and runtime performance.
- Mentor junior and mid-level C++ developers and support their continuous skill development.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA, DevOps, senior leadership, and other stakeholders to align engineering outcomes with business goals.
- Help scope sprints, mitigate technical risks, and support predictable, high-quality software releases.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Exceptional proficiency in Modern C++, including C++14, C++17, or C++20, with deep knowledge of standard library containers and algorithms.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, memory management, multithreading, and inter-process communication.
- Extensive development and debugging experience in Linux/Unix or Windows using CMake, GCC or Clang, or Visual Studio.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development workflows; consulting experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a highly technical related field.
- Preferred qualifications include low-level network programming, sockets, hardware or embedded protocols, Conan or vcpkg, and integrating C++ modules with Python or Node.js.
