Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation, and operation of cloud-scale solutions, telemetry platforms, data pipelines, and infrastructure components.
- Design resilient, observable, secure distributed systems operating at global scale.
- Drive technical direction and architectural decisions across significant product areas and multiple teams.
- Lead complex engineering initiatives from definition through production deployment and operational maturity.
- Collaborate with product management, SRE, security, compliance, CSS, and platform teams.
- Establish engineering practices for design reviews, code reviews, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
- Investigate complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive long-term corrective actions.
- Coordinate execution for initiatives spanning multiple services or organizations.
- Mentor engineers and help establish technical direction and engineering standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred master's degree with 8+ years of experience, or bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience with Rust.
- Preferred experience with observability systems, telemetry pipelines, monitoring platforms, OpenTelemetry, or cloud-native infrastructure.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes, containers, cloud platforms, or large-scale data processing systems.
