Base Salary
$94k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build end-to-end data pipelines, including Oracle query design and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Implement API authentication, authorization, role-based access control, and secure REST endpoints.
- Integrate APIs with Apigee and Amazon API Gateway.
- Manage the full API development lifecycle from design and contract definition through testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Write and optimize complex Oracle SQL queries and support data warehousing, data quality, and real-time data ingestion workflows.
- Monitor and control application development, testing, implementation, user support, and operational processes.
- Conduct feasibility studies, estimates, risk assessment, systems analysis, and application development activities.
- Advise senior stakeholders, consult with users and technology groups, and coach new or lower-level analysts.
- Ensure compliance, risk management, operating standards, and control procedures are followed.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Strong Core Java knowledge, including collections, generics, streams, lambdas, exception handling, object-oriented programming, and multithreading/concurrency.
- Strong Spring Boot experience, including Spring Data, Spring Batch, and Spring Security.
- Experience with Spring Data JPA/JDBC, repositories, entity mapping, transactions, HikariCP connection pooling, and lazy/eager loading.
- Experience implementing authentication, authorization, BCrypt, role-based access control, and secure REST endpoints.
- Experience designing enterprise APIs and integrating with Apigee or Amazon API Gateway.
- Proficiency with Jackson, ObjectMapper configuration, custom serializers, strict request validation, and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
- Experience writing and tuning complex Oracle SQL queries involving joins, analytic functions, subqueries, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Kafka, MQ, or event-streaming platforms for real-time data ingestion and processing.
- Willingness to work on Java- or Scala-based data pipelines and ETL workflows.
- Understanding of fact/dimension modeling, slowly changing dimensions, and data quality checks.
- Basic understanding of the Big Data ecosystem; Apache Spark experience is preferred.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects, with working knowledge of consulting or project management techniques.
- Bachelor's or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, operate with limited supervision, and exercise independent judgment.

- Primary location salary range is $94,300.00 to $141,500.00 per year.
