Responsibilities
- Own scale-critical backend paths supporting peak concurrency, multi-region delivery, and freshness guarantees.
- Build orchestration infrastructure between downstream services and client applications for server-driven experiences.
- Develop a compositor engine that fetches and ranks content blocks, merges metadata, and serves contextualized page definitions.
- Create platform primitives including layout DSLs, contract validation, fallback mechanisms, and preview tooling.
- Improve latency, throughput, cache efficiency, observability, and reliability across server-driven user-interface surfaces.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Frontend teams on personalized feeds, layouts, and dynamic page composition.
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and on-call rotations.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers on functional attributes and domain knowledge.
Requirements
- Strong coding skills in Golang.
- Two to four years of experience in backend development.
- Experience with server-driven or server-guided frameworks and orchestration platforms.
- Strong understanding of database and storage fundamentals.
- Performance-tuning skills focused on low p90 latency, high cache hit ratios, and multi-region delivery.
- Experience with the AWS stack.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
