Responsibilities
- Develop and modify custom software applications to meet changing business requirements.
- Handle coding, debugging, documentation, post-implementation support, and ongoing production support.
- Design software applications, translate user needs into system architecture, and create process flow diagrams.
- Assess application performance and component-system integration.
- Test software and automation-tool resilience.
- Design and develop high-volume REST APIs.
- Contribute to proof-of-concept work and innovative solutions for loyalty technology needs.
- Help migrate legacy monolithic, tightly coupled, batch-based platforms to loosely coupled, event-driven, microservices-based architecture.
- Partner with development, testing and quality, SRE, and production support teams to meet implementation dates and ensure smooth lifecycle transitions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience with a modern development stack including Golang, Kafka, and REST APIs.
- Experience in application design, software development, and testing in an Agile environment.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, or Cassandra.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs for high-volume clients.
- Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
- Experience with container and container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Atlassian software development and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with automated build and test frameworks is a plus.
- Knowledge of loyalty, rewards, and credit card industries is preferred.
- Experience with distributed technologies, open-source frameworks, and a broad range of software languages and payments technologies is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, quantitative, communication, and learning abilities.
