Responsibilities
- Lead customer technical projects by designing and delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integrations.
- Own architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
- Guide customers through end-to-end design, build, deployment, evaluation, and adoption of data and AI applications.
- Embed with customer teams, engage stakeholders from technical contributors to executives, and translate challenges into actionable solutions.
- Collaborate with Databricks engineering, product, developer relations, project management, architecture, support, and customer teams.
- Provide product and implementation feedback and help resolve engagement-specific product and support issues.
- Create reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts and influence the Databricks product roadmap.
- Manage technical delivery scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes, with customer travel required approximately 20% of the time.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Ability to write code in Python, Scala, JavaScript, or TypeScript and work with modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Experience designing and deploying performant, production-grade end-to-end data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Experience delivering technical projects, managing scope and timelines, and translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across a broad range of stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills, along with curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn technologies supporting Databricks-based solutions.
- Databricks Certification is required.
