Base Salary
$180k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own complex backend initiatives through design, implementation, integration, rollout, and operation.
- Build high-throughput, low-latency SSP services with efficient caching and in-memory stores.
- Integrate with DSPs, SSPs, third-party data providers, OpenRTB, and VAST.
- Improve performance and scalability in systems processing billions of transactions per day.
- Apply observability, incident response, capacity planning, and shared on-call practices.
- Drive automated acceptance, load, monitoring, and testing coverage.
- Provide code reviews and mentorship while influencing technical processes, tooling, architecture, and roadmap decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of expert-level JavaScript/Node backend experience at scale.
- Strong grounding in distributed systems, scaling, fault tolerance, caching, and load balancing.
- Strong data structures, algorithms, and systems design fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with Aerospike, Redis, Kafka, and Kinesis.
- Strong SQL/RDBMS, Linux, networking, and Git skills.
- Experience with automated acceptance and load testing.
- Track record of code review and mentorship.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- AdTech industry experience is strongly preferred.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
