Base Salary
$130k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture and implementation of Lendbuzz’s highly scalable core platform.
- Build and maintain Python backend services behind RESTful APIs and Kafka-based event-driven workflows.
- Modernize legacy architecture by migrating to containerized AWS services and decomposing the platform into domain microservices.
- Deploy changes safely using canary releases.
- Improve CI/CD, test execution, deployment workflows, and developer experience.
- Strengthen reliability through monitoring, health checks, autoscaling, scheduled jobs, and data pipelines.
- Collaborate with product and platform teams to improve delivery and shared systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of production backend software development experience.
- Proficient Python expertise.
- Experience designing scalable microservices and complex event-driven architectures using Kafka and RabbitMQ or Temporal.
- Deep technical fluency with relational databases, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, AWS cloud infrastructure, container management with ECS/K8s, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Ability to independently solve complex technical and production challenges while collaborating effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with agentic development workflows and AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, and interest in applying them to engineering work.
