Base Salary
$75k - $112k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own, improve, scale, and iterate on existing data processing pipelines.
- Design and implement new data processing pipelines.
- Collect and monitor performance metrics.
- Discuss and implement security best practices.
- Contribute to software and technology for road features, navigation, and high-definition maps.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of at least one programming language: C++, Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience with AWS services including S3, EC2, IAM, EMR, Glue, Athena, and Kinesis, or another cloud platform.
- Comfort with SQL and a thorough understanding of SQL engine basics.
- Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles.
- Experience with a workflow management tool such as Airflow, Oozie, or Luigi.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to justify technical decisions.
- Creative, resourceful, and innovative problem-solving ability.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Prior mapping, navigation, or automotive industry experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Spark or another data processing platform/framework is preferred.
