$290k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design the evolution of Giga’s agent infrastructure while balancing speed, reliability, and complexity.
- Own ambiguous, high-stakes technical projects and drive them to completion.
- Identify system gaps and develop technical strategies to address them.
- Set standards for code review, system design, and operational excellence.
- Work across team boundaries and take responsibility for outcomes beyond individual contributions.
- Write code, own systems, ship production work, and mentor other engineers through collaboration.
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Track record of leading complex projects.
- Ability to articulate system design tradeoffs and turn ambiguous problems into clear technical approaches.
- Strong coding skills and the ability to uphold high engineering standards.
- Experience building systems that scale and understanding failure modes at different orders of magnitude.
- Willingness to remain hands-on and ship code in a high-uncertainty environment.
