Base Salary
$290k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead complex projects and make architectural decisions for the backend systems.
- Design the evolution of agent infrastructure while balancing speed, reliability, and complexity.
- Own high-stakes projects and address ambiguous technical challenges.
- Identify system gaps and advocate for necessary improvements.
- Set standards for code review, system design, and operational excellence.
- Mentor other engineers through collaboration on real work.
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend engineering experience with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
- Ability to articulate opinions on system architecture and tradeoffs.
- Skill in transforming vague problems into clear technical solutions.
- Proficient in writing high-quality code and maintaining standards.
- Comfortable with uncertainty and energized by challenging problems.
- Desire to be hands-on and ship code as a staff engineer.
