Base Salary
$194k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery with enterprise customers and connect requirements to measurable business outcomes.
- Design enterprise-grade data transformation and analytics architectures using dbt.
- Partner with Sales to communicate the technical and business value of the dbt platform.
- Lead technical evaluations, trials, and proof-of-value engagements.
- Advise customers on technical architecture, security, governance, and deployment considerations.
- Support customer adoption and expansion across the customer lifecycle.
- Share customer and field insights with Product and Engineering to influence product strategy and roadmap.
- Build relationships with technology and consulting partners, including Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS.
- Contribute reusable technical best practices, thought leadership, and expertise to the Field Engineering organization and dbt community.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role in data, analytics, or BI.
- Strong foundation in SQL, data transformation, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.
- Strong understanding of modern cloud data warehouse, lakehouse, and analytics architectures.
- Ability to translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions and measurable outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to establish credibility with data practitioners, data leaders, and senior executives.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred experience with dbt, analytics engineering, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, modern cloud data platforms, enterprise data integration, ETL platforms, technical evaluations, migrations, or transformation initiatives.
- Preferred knowledge of dimensional modeling, Kimball, Data Vault, or 3NF methodologies, and experience with Informatica, Boomi, or Talend.
