Base Salary
$126k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design scalable software solutions, system integrations, architecture patterns, and detailed technical specifications across a diverse engineering ecosystem.
- Develop architecturally impactful software components and define or adopt development frameworks, libraries, standards, and best practices.
- Coordinate system and subsystem design across product teams and broker solution implementation to achieve customer and business outcomes.
- Lead technology strategy, critical-path design, platform expertise, technology roadmaps, and modernization efforts.
- Lead resolution of critical incidents and improve software stability, scalability, resilience, deployment, and build processes.
- Evaluate software solutions and vendors, advising on strengths, weaknesses, business-process impacts, and selection criteria.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, training, demos, and guidance to engineers across varying levels.
- Participate in product planning, technical user-story creation, recruiting, interviewing, talent development, and engineering-community engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in engineering environments translating abstract concepts into detailed software engineering plans and delivery.
- Experience architecting software solutions with performance SLOs, high availability, reliability, security, and related requirements.
- Understanding of data and system integration patterns and technologies.
- Proficiency in managing large-scale projects.
- Strong conceptual, critical-thinking, technical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills, including presenting technical documentation to senior management.
- Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Financial services industry experience is preferred.
- Experience coaching or mentoring team members is preferred.
