Responsibilities
- Build international joint-account, kid-account, and shared-finance products for globally distributed customers.
- Design and develop scalable backend systems for high-growth consumer products.
- Build asynchronous, reliable distributed systems within microservice architectures.
- Develop features for shared spending, sending and receiving money, and account customization.
- Work across money movement, spending, authorization, financial-crime, and shared-account systems.
- Collaborate with product, design, analytics, and research partners on customer discovery and product iteration.
- Contribute to architectural and product-direction decisions in a greenfield, rapidly changing environment.
- Scale infrastructure and improve reliability across multiple markets.
- Build financial products from concept through production and support systems used by millions of customers.
Requirements
- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go.
- Strong experience building scalable distributed systems and customer-facing products used by millions of users.
- Strong experience designing asynchronous, reliable, and scalable systems in microservice architectures.
- Ability to work effectively in greenfield environments with evolving requirements and ambiguity.
- A product mindset and experience collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, Analysts, and Researchers.
- Ability to contribute to architecture discussions, challenge assumptions, and influence technical and product direction.
- Experience writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code with long-term scalability and reliability in mind.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Preferred experience building greenfield products, international consumer products, or global-scale systems.
- Preferred experience with payments, financial systems, compliance-heavy environments, customer-facing financial products, event-driven architecture, messaging systems such as Kafka, or API-first development.
