Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide primary operational coverage for the team's global production environment during U.S. trading hours.
- Monitor end-to-end trading workflows, including market connectivity, data availability and quality, and scheduled model and optimization processes.
- Respond to alerts, failed jobs, and degraded systems, resolving routine and moderately complex issues and escalating deeper problems to developers.
- Build understanding of systems, dependencies, and trading workflows.
- Maintain and improve monitoring, alerting, documentation, and support processes.
- Automate repetitive work and implement safe, well-scoped code or configuration changes.
- Coordinate regional handoffs and communicate with quantitative researchers, engineers, and middle-office teams.
Requirements
- Experience in production engineering, trade support, systems operations, or a related function.
- Electronic trading experience is preferred but not required.
- Working proficiency with Python, Linux, and shell scripting, including reading and debugging existing code and making tested, well-scoped changes.
- Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, automation, data pipelines, or scheduled production workflows.
- Systematic and calm troubleshooting approach with sound judgment about independent action and escalation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, self-directed working style.
- Interest in production ownership, reliability, and operational improvement.
