Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support a world-class cloud-scale search platform for log analytics, application monitoring, full-text search, and data analysis.
- Write robust, efficient, and maintainable software using Java, Python, or C/C++.
- Contribute to OpenSearch and Apache Lucene open source software.
- Design algorithms and architectures and solve problems involving distributed systems, data storage, query optimization, JVM performance, security, and machine learning.
- Operate reliable production services and help define the vision and objectives for Search Services based on customer needs and market opportunities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
