Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build distributed compute pipelines processing hundreds of millions of shipments per optimization run.
- Partner with applied scientists to productionize Lagrangian decomposition and constraint programming models.
- Own and operate production services across AWS, including Lambda, Fargate, and ECS on EC2.
- Build optimization levers involving cost dimensions, constraints, and demand models in OPC.
- Develop data pipelines and validation tooling to measure the business impact of optimization decisions.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate software while balancing solution quality, latency, and system complexity.
- Own technical problems end to end, from mathematical modeling and implementation through production deployment and monitoring.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ years of Object-Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
