Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build distributed compute pipelines processing hundreds of millions of shipments per optimization run.
  • Partner with applied scientists to productionize Lagrangian decomposition and constraint programming models.
  • Own and operate production services across AWS, including Lambda, Fargate, and ECS on EC2.
  • Build optimization levers involving cost dimensions, constraints, and demand models in OPC.
  • Develop data pipelines and validation tooling to measure the business impact of optimization decisions.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate software while balancing solution quality, latency, and system complexity.
  • Own technical problems end to end, from mathematical modeling and implementation through production deployment and monitoring.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • 1+ years of Object-Oriented Design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
