Staff Software Engineer, Inference Platform

Responsibilities
- Raise the effectiveness of senior engineers through design feedback and technical standards.
- Help shape the technical direction for the Inference Platform and own the roadmap for major technical areas.
- Architect active-active systems with rapid failover and clear SLOs.
- Write and review production code in critical parts of the platform.
- Lead on production issues and drive observability and incident response.
- Partner with ML, Product, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams to translate requirements into scalable designs.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on large-scale distributed systems.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems architecture, ideally with Kubernetes.
- Strong track record of making architectural decisions for highly available systems.
- Experience with security protocols such as TLS and mTLS.
- Proficiency in backend or systems languages like Go or C++.
- Experience designing observability and reliability practices.
- Ability to influence senior engineers and cross-functional partners.
