Base Salary

$116k - $174k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop software solutions by studying organizational needs, systems flow, work processes, and problem areas.
  • Provide application development support throughout the software development lifecycle while following established methodologies and controls.
  • Document technical designs, interface specifications, and unit testing.
  • Participate in technical discussions and provide recommendations or solutions.
  • Own problems, issues, and requests from start to finish and facilitate appropriate handoffs.
  • Follow development best practices, including code reviews and unit testing, throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Help the line manager or technical lead with day-to-day operations and guide or mentor team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • At least 5 years of Java experience developing applications with Java/J2EE technologies, preferably in a Unix environment.
  • Strong understanding of multi-tier architectures, including web servers, caching, application servers, and load balancers.
  • Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, WebLogic, Apache, Spring Boot, Unix, and scripting languages such as Unix Shell.
  • Experience with build automation and continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline integration tools, including Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, and Artifactory.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Sybase, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of information and application security, including LDAP, certificates, public key encryption, SSH, and access credentials.
  • Experience developing or maintaining applications with C/C++ technologies, preferably in a Unix environment, is nice to have.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, teamwork, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with business and technical teams.
