Responsibilities
- Lead the technical vision and cloud architecture for Arctic Wolf’s cloud security platform.
- Design and implement scalable backend systems for cybersecurity data processing.
- Build high-performance APIs and services handling millions of security events.
- Lead cloud-native architecture using AWS, containers, and distributed systems.
- Drive technical excellence in code quality, performance, and system reliability.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers on technical design and engineering practices.
- Collaborate with Product, Security, and DevOps teams on technical solutions.
- Lead adoption of AI-powered development tools and AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Follow information security policies and protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company information.
- Complete required background checks and comply with applicable U.S. export-control authorization requirements.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of backend engineering experience, including 3 or more years in technical leadership roles.
- Expertise in Go, Python, or Java and concurrent or parallel processing; C#/.NET is preferred.
- Deep AWS expertise, including Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, distributed systems, and cloud-native design patterns.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, and security data processing.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Experience with databases, data streaming, and large-scale data processing.
- Expertise in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and service integration patterns.
- Expert knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, and scalable system design.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and mentor engineers.
