Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain backend services supporting AI assistants.
- Integrate large language models, enterprise data, APIs, and workflow automation into customer-facing products.
- Build features including conversation summaries, knowledge assistance, suggested responses, search, task automation, and agent guidance.
- Build and maintain REST APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
- Implement validation, monitoring, fallback, and human-review mechanisms for AI-powered features.
- Write readable, maintainable, and testable code and participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and technical discussions.
- Collaborate with product, UX, data, security, QA, and platform teams to deliver new features.
- Investigate and resolve issues across backend services, APIs, databases, and integrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Good knowledge of one or more backend programming languages and associated frameworks.
- Foundational understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and software design principles.
- Some experience developing or consuming REST APIs.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL; Microsoft SQL Server experience is beneficial.
- Familiarity with testing, Git, and collaborative software development practices.
- Interest in AI assistants, large language models, conversational AI, or workflow automation.
- Exposure to LLM APIs, prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, or vector search is beneficial.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Angular is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Agile development, CI/CD, cloud platforms, or DevOps practices is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and learning skills.
