Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, debug, and fix software applications and issues for assigned work items under senior developer guidance.
- Implement low-complexity technical solutions for assigned modules or tasks based on defined business and system requirements.
- Support mainframe assembler development, application and system troubleshooting, and QA activities.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, backlog and sprint activities, and development best-practice adoption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and team members to clarify requirements, communicate progress, and raise blockers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–4 years of coding experience in Mainframe Assembler or TPF.
- Familiarity with mainframe assembler development concepts, DB2 and files concepts, debugging, and technical problem solving.
- Ability to work within defined coding standards, development guidelines, and security or quality expectations.
- Java and Python knowledge, JCL and COBOL knowledge, and Agile experience are advantageous.
- Strong analysis, testing, validation, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and learning agility.
