Responsibilities
- Lead migration of application and database servers to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including cutover sequencing, data integrity, and downtime minimization.
- Design and implement OCI landing-zone architecture covering compute, storage, networking, IAM, VCNs, security lists, and NSGs.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and OCI DevOps.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and OCI Resource Manager.
- Plan and execute Oracle Database migration strategies with DBAs and application teams using Data Pump, RMAN, GoldenGate, or equivalent tools.
- Containerize and orchestrate workloads with Docker and Kubernetes/OKE.
- Establish source-control workflows, branching strategies, automated testing gates, and release and change-management practices.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, security controls, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.
- Troubleshoot and tune migrated application and database servers after cutover.
- Produce migration runbooks, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures, and provide post-migration support, mentorship, and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree and 4–6 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and IAM.
- Strong experience with DevOps tools including Terraform, GitHub Actions or Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience migrating Oracle Database and application servers to cloud environments.
- Proficiency with Python or Shell scripting and solid Linux systems administration experience.
- Working knowledge of networking, security best practices, and cloud cost and performance optimization.
- OCI Architect or DevOps Professional certification is preferred.
