Base Salary
$80k - $115k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local and cloud-based cyber range architectures for concurrent training scenarios and user sessions.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code automation for rapid deployment, teardown, and reset of range environments.
- Create emulated cloud services and resources when direct cloud integration is infeasible or cost-effective concerns make it unsuitable.
- Maintain security controls and network isolation to prevent range escape and resource abuse.
- Provide expertise, guidance, and documentation for SimSpace software use cases.
- Document range architectures, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Travel occasionally to customer or partner locations, estimated at 10%.
Requirements
- Expertise in virtual networking architecture, segmentation, subnets, routing, firewalls, security groups, NACLs, VPNs, and direct connectivity solutions.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools; Puppet and Ansible experience is a plus.
- Experience with Docker, containerization, and virtual machine deployment.
- Experience with cloud and cloud-based technologies.
- Familiarity with VMware and NSX-T is a plus.
- Familiarity with enterprise IT architectures, common business applications, monitoring, and logging solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills for debugging complex infrastructure issues.
- Exemplary documentation and technical communication abilities.
- Strong customer interaction skills and knowledge of security concepts and best practices for isolated environments.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Network engineering certification is a plus.
