Responsibilities
- Architect scalable, secure, resilient microservices and distributed systems using .NET and C#.
- Design and manage REST, GraphQL, and event-driven APIs with appropriate authentication and authorization.
- Optimize application performance, memory usage, runtime behavior, and SQL queries.
- Design integration patterns for LLMs, machine learning pipelines, and cognitive services in product workflows.
- Oversee Azure, Kubernetes, serverless, cloud migration, and modernization implementations.
- Establish coding standards, architecture principles, security guidelines, and reusable components.
- Conduct code, architecture, and technical reviews for performance, thread safety, memory efficiency, and secure data handling.
- Create target-state and low-level designs, including flow charts, sequence diagrams, and class diagrams.
- Lead migrations from on-premises environments to cloud platforms, including discovery, wave planning, cutover, and validation.
- Mentor engineering teams transitioning toward AI-driven engineering practices.
- Lead and manage specialist engineering teams from project planning through execution.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years in an architectural role and 1–2 years of hands-on AI implementation experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on cloud-native architecture design and implementation of distributed, fault-tolerant enterprise applications.
- Deep experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, Web APIs, asynchronous programming, memory optimization, LINQ, NuGet, and the .NET CLI.
- Strong expertise in microservices, distributed systems, REST and GraphQL APIs, gRPC or Kafka, resilience patterns, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience designing authentication and authorization using technologies such as OAuth2, JWT, SAML, or ASP.NET Core Identity.
- Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, managed container platforms, OpenShift, cloud-native CI/CD, observability, and security services.
- Knowledge of architecture patterns including Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, event-driven architecture, and microservices.
- Experience with application modernization, cloud migration strategy, database migration services, and application migration or assessment tooling.
- Experience with AI frameworks and services including Semantic Kernel, Microsoft.Extensions.AI, ML.NET, Azure OpenAI Service, Cognitive Services, and Azure AI Search.
- Experience with profiling, monitoring, static analysis, logging, and performance optimization tools.
- Ability to define reusable middleware, action filters, circuit breakers, retry and error-handling components.
- Experience leading teams and communicating complex AI capabilities as clear business value to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Python data tools such as Pandas and NumPy for cross-team collaboration.
