Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly available, performant, secure SQL-based services for Microsoft Dataverse at massive scale.
- Develop Data Engine features and enhancements focused on reliability, compliance, quality of service, and cost efficiency in a multi-tenant environment.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners on technical direction and end-to-end SQL data access and authorization solutions.
- Build deployment, monitoring, diagnostics, and self-healing automation for the Azure SQL footprint.
- Identify recurring issues and drive resiliency through observability, root-cause analysis, and recovery strategies.
- Participate in live-site operations, including alert tuning, production fixes, and preventive engineering.
- Contribute to secure, scalable data access and service capabilities for agentic AI workflows and safe orchestration.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous engineering process improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud Background Check and other applicable Microsoft, customer, or government security screening requirements.
- Preferred: master’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred proficiency with Azure services, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred understanding of security, compliance, and accessibility standards.
- Preferred experience with SQL query tuning, performance analysis, and SQL Server internals.
- Preferred experience with agentic AI technologies and workflows for autonomous decision-making, orchestration, and safe execution.
- Preferred proficiency in Python for automation, data processing, or cloud integration.
