Base Salary
$148k - $169k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support foundation-model training, LLM inference, agent workflows, similarity search, guardrails, evaluation, governance, and observability components.
- Develop optimization techniques that improve the scalability, cost, latency, throughput, and hardware utilization of production AI systems.
- Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap for foundational AI systems.
- Create prompts, evaluation datasets, automated regression tests, deployment pipelines, testing environments, and model-performance telemetry.
- Document technical learnings and contribute to standards for reproducibility, monitoring, safety, and ethical deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus at least two years of experience developing AI/ML algorithms or technologies, or a relevant master’s degree.
- At least two years of programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java.
- Experience developing AI components and making tradeoff decisions involving cost, latency, throughput, and accuracy.
- Preferred experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or an equivalent private cloud.
- Preferred experience with LLM inference, similarity search, VectorDBs, guardrails, memory, training and inference optimization, RAG, embedding-based search, responsible AI, agent observability, Model Context Protocol, agent interoperability, and securing agents.
