Base Salary

$169k - $305k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Identify testing approaches for proposed engineering changes.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and pipelines for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Create and maintain test plans and test cases covering relevant scenarios and edge cases for compute services.
  • Write and maintain scripts for deployments, migrations, and rollbacks.
  • Investigate complex issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers while promoting quality standards.

Requirements

  • 12 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or its equivalent.
  • Deep expertise in Python, Pytest, and microservices testing best practices.
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and SaltStack.
  • Good Linux fundamentals, particularly performance tuning.
  • Comfort with Bash, scripting fundamentals, and containerization tools such as Docker.
  • Good networking fundamentals, including HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, and DNS.
  • Understanding of modern testing methodologies.
