Base Salary
$200k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and drive a multi-year technical roadmap for geometric reasoning.
- Lead the integration of DFM AI into partner ecosystems like Solid Edge and NX.
- Architect and implement complex geometric kernel components.
- Drive methodology for combining classical and modern computational geometry approaches.
- Translate research into production systems and publish or patent innovations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business outcomes.
- Represent Xometry at conferences and technical reviews.
Requirements
- M.S. or PhD in applied mathematics, computer science, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in computational methods applied to geometry or CAD/CAE.
- Deep expertise in geometric modeling, including B-Rep topology and geometry healing.
- Hands-on experience with commercial geometric kernels like Parasolid or ACIS.
- Expert-level proficiency in C++ and strong Python skills for tooling and ML integration.
- Rigorous grounding in linear algebra, calculus, and numerical methods.
- Demonstrable record of research-to-production translation and published work.
- Familiarity with ML/AI methods relevant to geometry and manufacturing processes.
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder (ITAR compliance).
