Forward Deployed Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI agents and experiences that take actions for enterprise customers.
- Design agent intelligence, including prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integrations with customer systems.
- Own technical components end-to-end from architecture through production deployment, validation, and observability.
- Build and integrate data pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
- Build and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting.
- Contribute to proofs of concept and MVPs that move rapidly from concept to deployment.
- Co-build solutions with customers and partners and provide best-practice enablement.
- Identify platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights for senior engineers and product teams.
- Partner with Deployment Strategists to translate customer challenges into deployable agentic solutions.
- Travel approximately 25% to work directly with customers.
Requirements
- At least three years of software engineering or technical delivery experience.
- At least one production system that the candidate can discuss in detail, ideally involving AI technology, full-stack development, or frontier models.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience in consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering.
- Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams and customer architects.
- Ability to write quality code and evaluate AI outputs with engineering rigor.
- Fluency in German and English.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce platform experience or certifications, familiarity with LangChain or LlamaIndex, hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery, and experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments.
