Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases based on software requirements.
- Perform manual and automated testing to validate software functionality.
- Collaborate with laboratory operations teams to understand workflows.
- Identify, document, and track software defects.
- Support validation and verification activities for software releases.
- Ensure traceability between requirements and test cases.
- Participate in risk assessments related to software changes.
- Contribute to the development of software testing strategies.
- Maintain clear and compliant testing documentation.
- Act as a quality advocate for accurate patient testing results.
- Align test strategies with process design and workflow optimization.
- Provide input into system requirements based on testing insights.
- Support continuous improvements to software systems.
- Assess operational impact of software releases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Familiarity with NGS workflows and clinical laboratory operations.
- Experience writing and executing test cases based on specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases.
- Excellent documentation skills focused on clarity and compliance.
- Ability to translate complex workflows into structured test scenarios.
