Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build context-engineering pipelines, agentic workflows with tool usage, and evaluation frameworks.
- Analyze model behavior and create evaluation datasets to identify weaknesses and guide performance improvements.
- Enhance serving and evaluation infrastructure for user-facing features.
- Translate user needs into features across engineering, product, UX, and research teams.
- Analyze user metrics and model outputs to improve personalization and system helpfulness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Five years of experience developing C++ backend infrastructure components within distributed systems.
- Three years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and one year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with LLMs, generative AI concepts, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation.
- Experience with model-quality optimization methods such as loss analysis or quality hillclimbing.
- Preferred: five years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: one year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Preferred: experience with data analysis, experimental design, statistical methods, TensorFlow, JAX, PyTorch, user metrics logging, and A/B testing.
Benefits
- US base pay is $174000–$252000, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
