Base Salary
$115k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own platform projects end to end, from scoping and design review through shipping and operation.
- Build and improve services, jobs, shared libraries, custom lint rules, internal tooling, and integration platform frameworks.
- Work on reverse engineering, integrations, scraping, automation, and systems that continually change.
- Improve the reliability and performance of proxy management, browser fleets, on-premises infrastructure, session and state management, and latency-sensitive AWS code paths.
- Operate production systems through on-call rotations, incident triage, postmortems, dependency hygiene, and recurrence-prevention fixes.
- Apply AI-assisted development workflows and improve tooling used by other engineers.
- Address CodeQL findings, CVEs, TLS updates, and cryptography updates.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of backend integrations engineering experience building production services.
- Computer Science degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong Python skills or comparable-language experience with a clear path to Python 3.10+.
- Production operations experience, including on-call rotations, incident debugging, and shipping fixes under time pressure.
- Working knowledge of AWS and experience with at least one of DynamoDB, S3, IAM, or ECR.
- Solid systems-design fundamentals, including service scoping, failure-mode analysis, and design-tradeoff evaluation.
- Meaningful experience integrating AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or agentic tooling.
- Comfort with concurrency and asynchronous patterns such as threads, gevent or greenlets, and async/await.
- Preferred experience with Selenium, CDP, Playwright, TLS fingerprinting, JA3, header and User-Agent analysis, captcha systems, proxy management, OAuth2, SAML, OIDC, MFA orchestration, FastAPI, Redis, Celery, or gRPC.
- Experience in fintech, payroll, or other regulated environments is a plus.
