Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the shared AI platform, including agentic workflows, LLM integrations, observability, and production guardrails.
- Build and ship AI-driven features using LangChain, LangFuse, and AWS Bedrock from architecture through deployment and monitoring.
- Set technical direction for backend services, data pipelines, API patterns, scalability, reliability, and developer experience.
- Design resilient data-access patterns across Snowflake, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Redis, and MySQL.
- Mentor engineers in backend engineering, AI engineering, and system design.
- Collaborate with product, design, and customer-facing teams to turn ambiguous problems into high-quality solutions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience with strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Production experience building or integrating LLM-powered features or agentic workflows.
- Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, MySQL, and Snowflake.
- Strong familiarity with cloud-native environments; AWS experience is advantageous.
- Ability to design scalable, resilient, and maintainable systems and drive complex initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Experience building customer-facing products with product managers and designers.
- Strong communication skills for aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders.
