Responsibilities
- Own the design and development of backend services, data pipelines, and integrations for accounting infrastructure, financial reporting, reconciliation, and close workflows.
- Translate financial and regulatory requirements into reliable, auditable, and automated systems with Finance and Accounting stakeholders.
- Shape team architecture and engineering best practices while mentoring junior engineers.
- Improve data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and system performance in a compliance-critical environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software or data engineering, with experience owning and delivering complex backend or data infrastructure projects.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems and data engineering, including hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, or similar modern data stack technologies.
- Understanding of revenue recognition, reconciliation, and auditability sufficient to build compliant financial systems.
- Ability to partner effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, and Engineering.
- Familiarity with SOX controls, data quality frameworks, or financial systems such as NetSuite is preferred.
