Base Salary

$160k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the target-state cloud architecture and roadmap through ratification with senior technology leadership.
  • Define architectural standards for resource organization, networking, identity, encryption, key management, resilience, and recovery.
  • Design and evolve secure, compliant Azure landing zone architecture.
  • Publish documentation, reference implementations, reusable blueprints, and Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code modules.
  • Establish Azure Policy and landing zone guardrails based on Zero Trust principles.
  • Partner with Security, Risk, and Compliance to integrate regulatory controls and evidence collection.
  • Lead modernization, migration, and optimization initiatives across business domains.
  • Represent cloud architecture in audit, regulatory, and senior technology forums.
  • Lead architecture reviews, coaching, and technical pattern evangelism.
  • Own architecture decision records, architect-level change review, and conformance of published patterns.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture or infrastructure engineering.
  • Significant enterprise-scale Azure experience and experience defining target-state architecture and standards adopted by engineering teams.
  • Proven experience in regulated financial services, including direct exposure to audit and regulatory review.
  • Expertise in Azure landing zones, hybrid networking, ExpressRoute, Private Link, and Entra ID architecture.
  • Strong command of Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD automation, and Azure Policy.
  • Working knowledge of data protection, Key Vault, and HSM-backed key management.
  • Familiarity with CIS, ISO 27001, and NIST control frameworks and their translation into technical controls.
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification preferred.
  • Ability to provide senior technical direction, make and defend architecture decisions, and communicate credibly with auditors and engineers.
