Responsibilities
- Build full-stack portfolio management applications for the Portfolio Research & Analytics team.
- Develop web and backend features using Python, JavaScript, React, Redux, and SQL.
- Work with single-page application architecture, REST APIs, MVC frameworks, and relational databases.
- Work independently on projects and deliver code used in production.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment while learning new technologies and finance-related business concepts.
Requirements
- Strong software development skills and the ability to learn new technologies and business concepts quickly.
- Previous experience with JavaScript, particularly React and Redux, REST APIs, MVC frameworks, Python, SQL, database design, and Git is preferred.
- Familiarity with software development in a Linux-based environment.
- Strong technical candidates may be considered without direct experience in the specific technologies used by the team.
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, with intent to return to school at the start of the work term.
- Coursework or interest in finance is considered an asset.
- Applications must include a transcript, cover letter of one letter-sized page or less, and a resume of no more than two pages.
