Responsibilities
- Ensure the stability and reliability of cloud-native applications deployed on GCP with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Define, implement, and monitor SLOs, SLAs, and SLIs for system performance and user experience.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and manage Kubernetes configurations using Kustomize and Helm.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems with Datadog and GCP-native tools.
- Conduct incident analysis and postmortems to drive operational improvement.
- Integrate reliability practices into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Manage and troubleshoot PostgreSQL and Cassandra database systems.
- Apply networking and Linux system administration skills to troubleshoot and optimize connectivity and performance.
- Own and operate a critical GCP platform, automate operational work, and make technical decisions.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps.
- Experience designing and operating elastic, resilient systems in cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of GCP, AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize for infrastructure as code and configuration management.
- Experience with Datadog, GCP Monitoring, or similar monitoring and observability tools.
- Solid Bash scripting skills and familiarity with automation frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
- Strong coding skills and the ability to develop reliability-focused tooling.
- Strong English communication, problem-solving, independent working, collaboration, and process-oriented skills.
- Familiarity with Prometheus and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams are nice-to-have qualifications.
