Responsibilities
- Manage designated technology application portfolios, including configuration, reengineering, enhancements, upgrades, maintenance, and monitoring.
- Provide analysis, architectural design, and leadership for small, medium, and large-complexity projects depending on level.
- Follow and help manage IT processes and the company’s software development life cycle methodology.
- Act as a liaison between technical and business departments to ensure requirements and targets are met.
- Lead or contribute to software implementations and provide guidance and knowledge transfer to peers.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation supporting break/fix ticket resolution.
- Maintain application management and administration responsibilities and perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or equivalent experience and training.
- Up to 3 years of successful application and system development and management experience, with database experience using the .NET Framework; the posting also lists a minimum of 3–5 years for the higher-level responsibilities.
- Analytical, motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to learn new technologies, multitask, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to communicate clearly and fluently in written and spoken English and interact effectively with people at all organizational levels.
- Preferred experience with SQL Server or Oracle.
- Preferred experience leading, developing, or administering LIMS such as STARLiMS, Harvest, or Copia; specimen management systems; laboratory instrument interfaces; and HL7 coding.
- Preferred working knowledge of laboratory operations and processes and Corepoint.
- Preferred experience developing and administering ERP, CRM, or other software systems such as GreatPlains, Salesforce, or Carevoyant.
- Preferred proficiency with PC-based software and project management tools including MS Project.
- Preferred experience applying software development life cycle methodologies and leading tasks or projects for medium- to large-size software implementations.
