Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Java backend functionality for the Real-Time Clearing platform.
- Improve product scalability, usability, reliability, performance, and resilience throughout the software lifecycle.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions.
- Investigate production issues and support reliable operation of business-critical platforms.
- Collaborate with business analysts, testers, architects, and client representatives to deliver aligned outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Some years of professional experience developing backend applications in Java.
- Ability to design and maintain reliable, scalable, and testable software throughout the product lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, structured working, and ownership skills.
- Clear written and spoken English communication skills for cross-functional, global work.
- Preferred: knowledge of capital markets, including clearing, settlement, trading, or financial instruments.
- Preferred: experience with complex, distributed, and transaction-intensive systems.
- Preferred: familiarity with build, delivery, monitoring, and continuous delivery practices.
