Responsibilities
- Build and maintain efficient backend features in Python with the production team.
- Improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Define and integrate REST APIs into Gcore’s solutions.
- Contribute to architectural and design decisions for distributed applications and services.
- Improve delivery pipelines and development processes.
- Maintain and support Gcore’s highly integrated Billing Engine and help improve the efficiency and reliability of financial operations.
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of software development principles and the full software development lifecycle.
- Expertise in Python and significant experience with Django.
- Extensive experience with relational databases, particularly Postgres, including writing, analyzing, and optimizing SQL queries.
- Experience with RabbitMQ and Celery.
- Proficiency in creating and consuming APIs.
- Understanding of observability tooling and basic DevOps principles.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills for collaboration with a globally distributed team.
- Kubernetes experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices, Agile, and test-driven development is a plus.
- Experience with additional backend technologies, system monitoring, performance optimization, billing systems, or payment systems is a plus.
