$201k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software applications and components.
- Build scalable, reliable, and manageable backend services, distributed storage platforms, and high-performance data pipelines.
- Apply technical knowledge to evaluate complex data, developments, and projects and recommend solutions to technical issues.
- Support business operations and improve engineering productivity.
- Resolve production issues affecting product and system reliability.
- Build platform features leveraging AI and machine learning.
- Own customer-facing products that improve the support experience for millions of customers.
- Identify and implement extensible, maintainable changes across Uber’s engineering ecosystem while driving consensus among engineering teams.
- Design and drive large projects from inception through production.
- Gather requirements and translate them into platform features with stakeholders, product managers, scientists, and partner engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Experience with C++, Go, Python, Java, Git, or SVN.
- Experience with SQL or MySQL.
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms development and functionality.
- Experience designing technology stacks, debugging and monitoring production services, and developing backend services.
- Experience with AI and machine learning and distributed systems.
