Base Salary
$145k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Act as a domain expert and go-to engineer for a critical platform area
- Lead complex initiatives from design through delivery with attention to scalability, reliability, and performance
- Design cross-team solutions and influence architecture and technical direction
- Own features and systems end-to-end, including design, implementation, testing, and production support
- Build and evolve scalable web experiences and modules for internal applications and external partners
- Create and evolve services and APIs supporting mission-critical infrastructure
- Improve performance, stability, maintainability, processes, and tooling
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, business analysts, product managers, and project managers
- Mentor and guide engineers across multiple teams
- Work with third parties and security stakeholders to deliver integrated and secure solutions
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Experience with ReactJS or NextJS
- Proficiency in C# and .NET Core
- Experience building single-page applications and modern full-stack web applications
- Experience designing and operating distributed, high-throughput, low-latency services and APIs at scale
- Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and effectiveness in a fast-paced environment
- A record of mentoring peers, contributing to technical discussions, and influencing engineering decisions
- Preferred experience with AWS and infrastructure as code
- Preferred experience with large-scale transactional systems, NodeJS, reusable JavaScript modules, Micro Front Ends, mobile and responsive interfaces, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Kafka, Elasticsearch, or AWS DynamoDB
- Ticketing, inventory management, or e-commerce experience is preferred
