$166k - $296k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, technical strategy, and design for large-scale business data, intelligence, AI, and cloud platform systems.
- Design and evolve scalable, reliable, secure, governed, and high-performance distributed systems for enterprise applications, copilots, agents, and AI experiences.
- Develop AI-native capabilities including retrieval and grounding systems, semantic intelligence, process intelligence, agent orchestration, intelligent automation, and LLM-powered experiences.
- Drive Dataverse platform evolution and establish reusable platform patterns, frameworks, APIs, data models, and intelligence services.
- Partner with engineering, product, research, data science, security, and business stakeholders to shape roadmaps and cross-organization technical direction.
- Champion secure development, automation, testing, observability, telemetry, incident management, and operational excellence.
- Mentor engineers through architecture reviews, design coaching, and technical leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar modern development languages.
- Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems, cloud platforms, data platforms, AI services, or enterprise software.
- Experience building foundational platform capabilities serving multiple products, customers, or engineering organizations at scale.
- Deep expertise in software architecture, distributed systems, data architecture, reliability, scalability, performance optimization, and operational excellence.
- Experience with Azure, cloud-native architectures, containerized workloads, platform services, or hyperscale cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with business data platforms, knowledge systems, semantic models, metadata platforms, retrieval systems, search technologies, or intelligence platforms.
- Experience developing AI-powered applications, LLM-enabled experiences, retrieval and grounding systems, agent frameworks, intelligent automation, or production AI services.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, automated testing, observability, telemetry, incident management, and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of security, privacy, governance, compliance, reliability, accessibility, and Responsible AI principles.
- Ability to influence technical direction, align stakeholders, communicate complex concepts clearly, and mentor senior engineers across organizations.
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud Background Check and applicable customer or government security screening requirements.
