Responsibilities
- Own the full product lifecycle from business requirements and technology selection through coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable platforms and data pipelines.
- Build stable, performant, and fault-tolerant systems serving millions of users.
- Direct significant company-wide projects and set technical vision and direction.
- Make architectural decisions and establish technical standards for the team.
- Implement advanced deployment pipelines and robust testing strategies.
- Mentor engineers and promote high-quality software development across the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance product and technology goals.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing performance-critical applications in production using Scala, Java, Kotlin, or other modern programming languages.
- Strong relational database management system knowledge, including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or equivalent systems.
- Ability to direct significant company-wide projects and establish technical vision.
- Deep involvement in architectural decisions and setting team standards and direction.
- Experience implementing advanced deployment pipelines and robust testing strategies.
- Good command of English.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases, queueing systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or MSMQ, and the Play framework is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement.
