Responsibilities
- Own the full product lifecycle from business requirements and technology selection through coding standards, development, testing, CI/CD, and monitoring.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable platforms and data pipelines.
- Build stable, fault-tolerant, high-performance systems serving millions of users.
- Direct significant company-wide projects and establish technical vision and architectural direction.
- Mentor engineers and help maintain high coding and engineering standards.
- Implement advanced CI/CD pipelines and robust testing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product and technology goals.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience developing performance-critical applications in production using Scala, Java, Kotlin, or other modern programming languages.
- Strong knowledge of relational database management systems, including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or equivalent.
- Ability to direct significant company-wide projects and set technical vision.
- Deep involvement in architectural decisions and setting team standards and direction.
- Strong English-language communication skills.
- Passion for software development and continuous improvement.
- Preferred: knowledge of NoSQL, queueing systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or MSMQ, and Play Framework.
