Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions for Fortify Cloud services across public cloud platforms.
- Build software, automation, reusable tools, frameworks, and platform capabilities that improve reliability, scalability, security, and developer productivity.
- Design and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures and operational services.
- Improve deployment, testing, monitoring, and operational processes through automation and development practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production and development issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with software developers, test developers, security researchers, and product teams.
- Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, continuous improvement, and technical direction across teams.
- Mentor peers and drive development improvements across teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience, preferably with C#/.NET, Go, Java, or similar modern programming languages.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting production software throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Experience building and maintaining solutions on at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience implementing infrastructure-as-code with tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Bicep.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking fundamentals, including routing, connectivity, and security principles.
- Experience with containerized applications and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Understanding of microservices and distributed systems concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and automated testing practices.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Scripting and automation experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work from one of OpenText's Canadian office locations and collaborate with distributed global teams.
- Preferred: 5 or more years of professional software development experience.
- Preferred: experience developing reusable platforms, frameworks, libraries, or automation that improve development productivity.
- Preferred: experience designing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures.
- Preferred: experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar observability and monitoring technologies.
- Preferred: experience in cybersecurity, application security, or highly regulated environments.
- Preferred: strong knowledge of Windows administration and troubleshooting.
- Preferred: experience implementing infrastructure testing, validation, and compliance automation.
- Preferred: ability to mentor peers, influence technical direction, and drive development improvements across teams.
