Responsibilities
- Build stakeholder relationships and align solution designs with business objectives, technology strategy, and existing architecture landscapes.
- Lead solution architecture definition and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish architecture governance, design assurance, technical delivery frameworks, and decision-making processes.
- Lead architecture and design reviews while identifying and mitigating risks, dependencies, and technical issues.
- Provide strategic architecture advice on secure, scalable, and future-ready digital solutions.
- Support client engagement, solution shaping, bid responses, proposal development, and commercial opportunity identification.
- Coach and mentor colleagues and contribute to thought leadership, architecture standards, reusable assets, and communities of practice.
- Shape innovation opportunities involving cloud modernisation, automation, AI-enabled services, secure-by-design architecture, and delivery improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and delivering solution architectures for business and technology transformation programmes.
- Strong solution and enterprise architecture expertise, including secure, resilient, and scalable digital solutions.
- Experience leading technical design activities, architecture workstreams, and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, business analysis, requirements management, and solution definition capabilities.
- Experience establishing architecture governance, design assurance, and technical review processes.
- Experience working in complex or regulated environments and across the full solution lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted expert or strategic advisor to senior stakeholders and clients.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or developing colleagues and contributing to thought leadership or practice development.
- Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent.
- Desirable experience includes energy, utilities, public sector, healthcare, cloud architecture, Microsoft Azure, IAM, PKI, cryptographic solutions, technology risk, information assurance, systems integration, modernisation, pre-sales consultancy, low/no-code automation, and product-led delivery.
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, SABSA, CISSP, or Azure Solutions Architect are desirable.
- Experience representing an organisation externally through client advisory work, industry forums, conferences, publications, white papers, or specialist networks is desirable.
