Base Salary
$180k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement back-end software in modern C++ for vehicle telemetry and communications.
- Architect low-latency, high-reliability communication protocols for real-time data exchange.
- Develop intuitive and safety-critical user workflows for vehicle state transitions.
- Collaborate with teams in behavior planning, platform engineering, and safety.
- Perform metric analysis and optimize performance in a concurrent software stack.
- Interface with global vendors to align technical goals and integration timelines.
- Participate in on-vehicle testing and collect data on system performance.
Requirements
- Master's degree in robotics, computer engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 7+ years in autonomous systems.
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ and expertise in high-concurrency systems.
- Solid understanding of communication protocols, including TCP/IP and UDP.
- Strong grasp of operating system fundamentals and performance optimization.
- Experience with robotics middleware, particularly ROS 2.
- Exceptional analytical and debugging skills with cross-functional communication abilities.
- Bonus: Experience with cellular networks and telecom systems is a plus.
