Responsibilities
- Develop a distributed, resilient, and highly performant network security product for enterprise customers.
- Design and implement new features while improving system functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Create functional specifications, design documents, test plans, and maintain thorough code testing and hygiene.
- Own and deliver projects end to end with a geographically distributed team under minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with development, test, documentation, and product management teams.
- Mentor junior team members and participate in technical knowledge-sharing events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent qualification.
- 7+ years of software development experience focused on distributed systems architecture.
- Advanced programming proficiency in Python, Golang, Java, C, or C++.
- Professional experience developing networking or security products and familiarity with TCP/IP, VLAN, IP, ICMP, and DNS.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, multithreaded and multiprocess applications, IPC, and RPC.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and Protobuf.
- Strong written and spoken technical and interpersonal communication skills.
